Summary

Ali Qasim applied for leave to appeal against his conviction for trafficking in 1.09 kg of cocaine found in a parcel posted from Brazil, for which he was sentenced to 23 years' imprisonment. He appeared to collect the parcel using a forged Hong Kong Identity Card and claimed he thought it contained clothes. The application for leave to appeal was dismissed.
