Summary

Liang Yaoqiang appealed against his third conviction for the murder of his cohabitee Madam Yeung Sau Yu in 2009, following two previous convictions that were quashed on appeal. The Court of Final Appeal considered whether ordering a third retrial constituted a miscarriage of justice and examined the circumstances of the killing. The appeal was allowed and the conviction was quashed.
