HKSAR V. CHOW YAN TUNG IRIS

Chow Yan Tung Iris (鄒欣桐) was convicted of one charge of arson and three charges of attempted arson before a Deputy District Judge and sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. She applied for leave to appeal against conviction and sentence but failed to advance any grounds of appeal despite being directed to do so. The Court of Appeal refused leave to appeal, finding the conviction safe and the sentence not manifestly excessive.
